General rules for Eassy writing /Poster makingCompetition
1.The participant must be a student as on 21st August, 2021 pursuing higher secondaryor graduation course in any of the educational institutions located in Gujarat District.There is no entry or application fee to the competition.
2. Only registered entry within timeline will be considered for participation in theevent. Registration link mentioned below :

3. An Essay/Poster along with a copy of college/ university/ institute identity cardshould be sent in a pdf format by email to_iicsalsaliter@gmail.com with “ EassayWriting/ Poster making competition-2021” in the subject line on the date :22/8/2021,before 10:00 a.m. , after that any entry will not considered.
4. An Essay/Poster must be send through the same e-mail id, which you have used forregistration. An Essay/Poster send through another e-mail id will not considered.
5. A Screening Committee constituted by Institute will first review the essays /postersreceived. We can submit the essay for review to specialists in paper writing on Writemypapers.org. The selected essays/posters will then be submitted to a panel of judges for finalreview. The decision of the screening committee and the panel of judges will be finaland binding on the participant.
6. The winners of the competition will be contacted at the email address mentioned inthe registration form.
7. Each participant can submit only Essay / Poster.
8. Prize winners will have to submit identity proof.
9. SAL Education campus reserve the final right, where necessary, to make amendmentsto the above rules and to select the winners of the competition.
10. Competition will be online mode.

Rules for the Eassy writing competition :
1.Write in complete sentences. Intentional fragments, such as “Right?” don’t belong in essays.
2.The essay should not exceed 2,500 words and must be typed for submission purposes.
3.An eassy must be in English Language only.
4.Write in third person. Talk about the subject of the essay. Don’t personalize with first personpronouns such as I, me, my, mine, we, us, our, ours, ourselves. Don’t talk to the reader with secondperson pronouns such as you, your, yours, yourself, yourselves. The essay is to be objective (fair andbalanced), not subjective (personalized). Rid essays of “I think,” “I believe,” and “In my opinion.”
5.Do not over-use the same words or phrases. For example, avoid over-use of the “to-be” verbs: is,am, are, was, were, be, being, been.
6.The participant will be required to declare any assistance received during the writing of the essay.Sources/ references used in writing the essay should be duly acknowledged in the essay.
7.Format of the Essay: (i) Typed on A4 size (ii) Font size shall be 12 points (English) in Times NewRoman (iii) 1.5 interlinear space (iv) Margins of one inch (2.54 cm) on all the four sides.
8. Original essays will be considered for the competition. Any previously published essays shall berejected outright. Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification of the entry.
9. Score / Assessment of the Essay: The entries will be assessed base on these criteria – (i)Originality and Clarity of the Content (ii) Quality of the Analysis and Research (iii) Language andStructure of the Essay.

Rules for the Poster Making competition :
1.The poster must be made on the A3 size sheet with margins drawn with black pen/marker.
2.Acceptable tools for drawing/painting include pencil, crayon, watercolor, oil paint, etc.Photographs, wires, other 3D objects, print-outs won’t be acceptable. It should be original andhand made.
3.Name and age of the participant, school/college name must be clearly mentioned on the right-hand side bottom of the sheet.
4. JUDGEMENT CRITERIA: Judgment will be based on:
• Relevance to the theme
• Originality
• Artistic composition
• Creativity
• In accordance with the given instructions.
5.SUBMISSION FORMAT: Everyone has to submit the picture of the poster in PDF on the givenemail ID and within time limit, after that it will not be acceptable.
6.Essay/Poster should be Unique and not copied from direct source. If so will not be consideredfor competition.
